CALL News

New Name:  From now you might notice CALL also being referred to as CALLplus.
In for a penny...:  Sometimes it is hard to put a figure on what buys what in a charity that provides services rather than buying ‘things’ such as medical equipment. However we at CALL believe it is important that you know how your money is used to support people with cancer and other life-limiting illness, their carers and families.

Meet Our Trustees

What We Do

The CALL Management Committee is a team of volunteers who provide governance to the charity. They ensure that CALL complies with charity and employment law, is sustainable and financially viable.

CALL Chairman - David Lambert

Having acted for several years as the Company Secretary, David, Senior Partner at Hague Lambert Solicitors, decided to heed the plea from the Trustees to join them in this different capacity.

Due to the fact that some members of his family, as well as close work colleagues, have lived with cancer, he has an empathy for all that CALL is doing.

He is also a Trustee of other charities and has acted professionally in forming and advising those charities.

Call President & Company Secretary - Tom Brown

In the early 1980s as a result of his personal experiances with Hodgkin's disease Tom helped to start CALL. In 1985 he helped set up the National Conference of Cancer Self Help Groups and worked as its organiser for seven years. Tom currently works as a freelance computer programmer.

He is now President of CALL as he believes it a most worthwhile organisation and is proud to be associated with it, and will do what he can to promote it.
