Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
In 2007 CALL celebrated its Silver Anniversary; an incredible twenty five years providing emotional support and practical assistance to thousands of people living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
For a quarter of a century CALL’s dedicated volunteers and professional staff have ‘been there’ for people facing the uncertainty that the diagnosis of a serious illness often brings. At CALL the importance of listening has never been underestimated and by developing this ability in our team we have provided comfort, support and practical help which is appropriate and responsive to the needs of our clients and their families.
It was with this achievement in mind that many of CALL’s supporters including trustees, staff, volunteers, clients and donors gathered together in June to celebrate and listen to a marvellous collection of inspirational music performed by vocalists from the RMCM School of Operatic Studies and special guests Macclesfield Male Voice Choir (pictured bottom right).
We were honoured to also to receive several Mayors of Greater Manchester boroughs including Tameside, Salford and Wigan as well as a Trafford Councillor. The Mayor of Stockport also attended informally in her capacity as a CALL volunteer.
CALL would like to thank all those who supported us on
this wonderful evening. Look out for further details of our next event at
the RNCM in June 2008; A Gilbert & Sullivan Gala.

Based in Baguley, Wythenshawe the Club held their annual 5k ladies run sponsored by local business the Authentic Food Company. The event was a huge success with runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities joining in the fun.
